God Only Gives You What You Can Handle

“GOD ONLY GIVES YOU WHAT YOU CAN HANDLE”


This is a term I am definitely used to hearing in regards to a tragedy or very difficult time in someone's life. When they feel incapable of being able to handle a situation. Usually a situation that is considered bad or even evil.


1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.


Psalm 145:9 The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.


Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. 


Matthew 19:17, Mark 10:18, Luke 18:19 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good - except God alone.”


Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”


James 1:19 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.


God IS good. He is not the one bringing these bad things upon us.


GENESIS 3 - The Fall


Adam and Eve, brought sin into the world. We continue to, to this day. Falling into the trickery and temptation of Satan. Destruction and pain are of our own doing.


Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.


Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “It is impossible for people [to save themselves], but everything is possible for God.”


While God doesn’t give these things to you. He does give you the ability to handle ANYTHING through the Holy Spirit. Him, in his goodness, sent Jesus to die for us to defeat the sin and death that we bring into the world and to give us the Holy Spirit to conquer and overcome it while we are still on the earth. 


GOD IS GOOD! He loves you! He is always by your side!

You Don't Have to be Perfect

Worshiping Our Savior, the Creator

"You are to take seven pairs, a male and its female, of all the clean animals, and two of the animals that are not clean, a male and its female, and seven pairs, male and female, of the birds of the sky – in order to keep offspring alive throughout the earth.” Genesis 7:2 (CSB) Once I was able to get past the initial shock that it wasn’t just 2 of each animal, as I had grown up thinking, I was then curious about why He was so specific and why there needed to be more of the clean animals for them to survive than the unclean.
